I have been volunteering to create graphics, ads, and brainstorm campaign strategies for a political party in my district. This week someone from a different running within the same political party reached out to me. She’d seen my work with my current running member and asked if I could lend a hand with her campaign. Apparently he had recommended me to help her out.
I ended up putting together her rack card and developing other designs. We went back and forth for a few emails or so choosing photos, right texts and right placement, every detail counts when you’re shaping a political campaign’s visual identity. The imagery, the colors, the design – ended up being quite similar to that of the one I designed before.
I’ll also be attending a Chinese New Year gala on February 10th, to speak to the asian community and hopefully meet more people! I am gaining a ton of hands on experience as well as making more connections.
This weeks entry is a bit shorter but that because the exciting stuff is happening in the coming days/weeks. In this new sector of politics and design, I’m excited to see where this takes me.
